Does anyone have any experience with this airline?
I can get a great deal on a flight from Orlando to Vegas with Sun Country but I%26#39;ve never heard of them before. Are they reputable?
Thanks,
Truman
Sun Country Airlines
Truman,
I have traveled Sun Country over 50 times. Every experience that I had was exceptional. The check in, the flight attendants and the ease of use. I have flown out of both Orlando and Vegas, the station attendants and ground crew have always been great. Sun Country is my choice of airlines for personal travel out of MSP. Now, I do have to admit, I did work for Sun Country at one time, but that was over 8 years ago. I still prefer to fly them and will always recommend them to those who ask. I hope you have the same great experience that I did. Yes, they are reputable, been around over 20 years.
Sun Country Airlines
Reputable? They were one of the few airlines to post a profit the first quarter of this year. I%26#39;ve flown with them and if they go where I want when I want to be there, I%26#39;ll definitely book with them. Unfortunately their routes and flight times are limited so I don%26#39;t get the chance that often.
I always check their rates first. My sister use to work with them as a flight attendant and she really enjoyed working there. Every 10th trip you fly with them is free if you are signed up for their free rewards program. I highly recommend this airline.
It%26#39;s one of the best airlines I%26#39;ve ever flown... a true gem in the small carriers. Go for it!
Great airline and Humphrey Terminal is so much easier to deal with than Lindbergh. You won%26#39;t find too many people around here down on Sun Country....especially after years of dealing with Northwest%26#39;s surly flight crews and gate agents. Not all of them, but enough to make flying anything other than NWA a real pleasure. We flew SCA last Oct. to Vegas as well as last month to Phoenix and are considering a surprise visit to our son in Seattle, if rates stay as low as we%26#39;ve seen lately, despite planning to drive there in August too.
Will echo others%26#39; replies: it%26#39;s an attractive option when schedule and prices fit your itinerary. We used them summer 2008 from MSP-Anchorage and had a good experience. It was normal-sized coach seats (but slightly roomier in an older plane), but the smaller terminal/security lines/waits, less expensive baggage charges, friendly staff, and actual hot sandwiches made the long flight much more tolerable than likely on Northwest-Delta. In Anchorage, we were ticketed through Delta-- which is likely to change given the merger.
I%26#39;d certainly consider this carrier... they know they have to stand out from the herd, and I think they have the found the right niche.
I%26#39;ve flown them now for two trips.
Please note they fly out of the %26#39;sister%26#39; airport to MSP International. They are at the Humphrey Terminal vs Lingburgh. But it%26#39;s a smaller, friendlier terminal. They are connected by the light rail.
If you check in early enough, you can upgrade to First Class for $90 or so bucks. I did that to and from Dominican Republic - and SOOOO worth it.
I%26#39;d gladly fly them again.
Sun Country is our airline of choice when flying to Vegas!
