Drive from Fargo, ND - Hector Airport to Bemidji,MN

The on-line maps/directions from Hector International Airport in Fargo to Bemidji seem to take you on quite a few roads for very short distances.

Does anybody know the most direct route? Anything interesting along the way?

There are no direct routes. Getting from the airport to a highway in Minnesota will require several turns. I prefer the route that takes you north on Hwy 75 when you once get into Minnesota and then across hwy 200 to Zerkel, north on hwy 92 to Bagley and east on hwy 2 to Bemidji.
