Hi, any thoughts on the best way to get to Grand Rapids, Minnesota in June for the Judy Garland festival. I%26#39;ll be flying from New York, but I don%26#39;t want to hire a car at the other end to get to Grand Rapids. Bus or train?
Thanks,
Redone

I think you may have to rent a car to get there and you probably want one to get around Grand Rapids too.

There is a daily bus from Minneapolis to Grand Rapids...but not very convenient most likely to hook up to your flight. Rent a car...it is just shy of 200 miles from the MSP airport to Grand Rapids...or fly into Duluth if you can find a flight there...then it is just 100 miles...or Hibbing is about 40 miles. But you will still need a rental car to get around...there is just one taxi service in Grand Rapids...it is a small town of just 7500 people! Not big like Melbourne or NYCity!
Judy Garland is a big deal and brings lots of tourist to the area for the celebration and also year round to the museum. Come and Enjoy!
Call Grand Rapids tourism at 1-800-472-6366.
They would be the best to help you out.
They might know of a bus tour from the cities.
