adult resort

My husband and I are planning on one week in July without the kids. Where is a good place to stay where there will not be kids everywhere?

There%26#39;s two places there I have direct experience with. The first is Breezy Point, which I would tell you to avoid because it caters to families with kids (arcade, pool, etc).

But take a look at Grandview Lodge. More of an adult place. Golf course on site, boat rental, etc. You%26#39;ll likely see some kids but you%26#39;ll see them anywhere you go.

Thank you. I looked up GrandView and it looks nice. Do you happen to know anything about Craguns Resort? Our son is doing a boarding ice hockey camp in Deerwood for one week so we want to stay somewhere within a half hour of the camp. And since we will be without him for a week we didn%26#39;t want to stay somewhere where there is a bunch of screaming kids all day. Of course we don%26#39;t mind kids, just want a place where it%26#39;s not so crazy.

For what I think of as the big name resorts in the area, in terms of least to most kids:

Grandview--Maddens--Craguns--Breezy Point

I%26#39;ve stayed at all but Grandview, but have golfed there.

Another thought--

If you want to be really close, how about Ruttgers Bay Lake lodge. They belong in the discussion with the others, about the middle in terms of number of kids.

Which of all of these have the cleanest, most modern rooms?

Modern might be tough to find. Each of these has range of accomodations, from pretty rustic cabins to townhouses. I%26#39;d suggest checking out each website, and making sure the the pictures that you are seeing are for what you are looking for.
