Mall for March 20th to feed the sharks and buy shoes

Need a marriott, hilton or the like w a shuttle from the airport and close to the mall so I don%26#39;t have to rent a car. Would love a room with a HUGE tub for two. And is the soupon book worth buying?

You have options -

your better hotels will be downtown Minneapolis, and you can take the new / clean / cheap Light Rail from the airport north to downtown, as well as south to the Mall of America.

If you want a nice hotel, the W and the Westin in downtown just opened. There%26#39;s a big convention style Hilton downtown, but it%26#39;s very generic. The Marriott City Center downtown just remodeled, you might like that.

There%26#39;s a Marriott by the mall that%26#39;s walking distance, but she%26#39;s very old.

You%26#39;ll have to call each property for jacuzzi suite / tub for two options.

The only one of the two chains you mention that I know has a complimentary airport shuttle is the Minneapolis Marriott Airport.

Technically, it is in Bloomington with the rest of the Mall of America-situated hotels.

It is just north of the mall (walking distance in March --weather should be ok. Check the map to be sure.

Of course, there are closer hotels to the mall (although that is pretty close). See this link to see other options. Don%26#39;t assume allof them have airport shuttles. Make sure it states it among the amenities.

Keep in mind, some of these are in west Bloomington, which will be no good for you. The mall is in east Bloomington near the I-494 and I-77 interchange. There are countless hotels in the area.

The airport is just across I-494 and a short distance east from the mall. Very close and reachable by light rail from the mall, coincidentally.

The mall is the only thing to see in the area, really, with the possible exception of Fort Snelling. Unless your trip will be focused exclusively on the mall, I would recommend staying in a more attractive area. But if you%26#39;re there for the mall, then that%26#39;s the place to stay. But keep in mind, the light rail will take you downtown Minneapolis or south Minneapolis for something better to eat than you%26#39;ll find in Bloomington. In case you want a change.

As for the coupon book, I can%26#39;t be of service w/ regard to that. I%26#39;m not a shopper and don%26#39;t enjoy the mall to look for strategies for shopping there.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for in your trip, but the mall is just 5 miles south of Lake Nokomis and Minnehaha Creek, which if followed East brings you to the falls. If you are staying at the Mall and are looking for some nature, it is just a little north or norht east of you! Here is a like to Minnehaha Park

Also, staying near the mall provides you with great transportation to Downtown MPLS. The lightrail is great!
