Nightlife after T-wolves game.....

Where%26#39;s the best place to go after a T-wolves game? My wife and I are going to a game at the end of January and are looking for some ideas on where to go out after the game? Is there any good places near the Target Center, we are staying near the Mall of America. We will have a car but dont want to worry about drinking and driving, so contemplating the light rail or a taxi, which is the best way to go?

Definitely light rail. It%26#39;s not even close. Keep in mind, though, the light rail stops running at 1:15 a.m., I think. So you might have to taxi it back. No biggie. But at least take the light rail to downtown to save the $30. It lets you off less than 2 blocks from the Target Center.

As for nightlife, the Target Center is right in the middle of the state%26#39;s largest collection of night life (Warehouse District). It depends on what you look for in a bar. And your age. The Loon might be a good starting spot. You%26#39;ll see that when you get off the train -- kiddie corner from train stop. 5th St. and 1st Ave. N. Try that out. Also would suggest Imperial Room on 1st Ave (another half block past the Loon from Target Center, other side of street).

But if you tell me more about what you like as far as nightlife, I can give more detailed recomendations. (So can others)

Thanks for the info..... my wife is 25, I%26#39;m 37, normally we like kind of low key bars/lounges where its not wall to wall people, but this is a night out on the town for fun, so we are looking for a little dancing and good times, just dont want it to be so packed that you cant move around....

I think the Shout House is fun it%26#39;s a dueling piano bar. Check it out www.shouthouse.com

oops, sorry it%26#39;s actually www.theshouthouse.com

What day of the week is the game? (assuming Fri or Sat if you%26#39;re traveling)

what night of the week will be a decider too

if it%26#39;s thurs/fri/sat

there%26#39;s SneakyPete%26#39;s - right accross from light rail and Target Center

or Nye%26#39;s - about 8 blocks up Hennepin - quick cab right

light rail will be your best bet for the night

traffic %26amp; parking will be a b1tch game night

Its a Friday night game....

check out Nye%26#39;s Polonaise - and be sure to go to both sides of the bar.

try to get one of the coveted booths by the piano bar.

Some of the more tame places that I like are Gluek%26#39;s, Lyon%26#39;s Pub, Kieren Pub....If you%26#39;re up for a uniquely good time, you cannot miss Nye%26#39;s. It%26#39;s worth the walk or short cab over the bridge.

But, by all means, use lightrail to get downtown.

I would take the light rail. There are plenty of bars right around the target center, a stone%26#39;s throw to be honest. I like The Shout House, Rosen%26#39;s, oh, and you might like The Lone Tree. All of these places are hopping and fun.
