Layover in Minneapolis what can we do???

We have a few hours to kill on Sunday 4/5, and need to know what there is to do? We don%26#39;t want to have to get a cab from the airport...is there anything close to the airport?? Thanks

If your question is ';can we walk out the front door and walk somewhere?'; then the answer is no. The lightrail runs right through the airport, and runs to Mall of America in one direction and downtown Minneapolis the other way. But you%26#39;d need more than a few hours to walk down to the station, catch a train to one of those, walk around, catch a train back, clear security and get to your gate.

There are some decent restaurants inside security--I%26#39;d just go have a nice lunch or dinner. Unless of course your airline is feeding you. ha ha ha

Give yourself 30 min each way to the Mega Mall and take the Light Rail from the airport there/back.

Here%26#39;s a map - only 4 stops away.

The light rail station at the main terminal is one flight below baggage claim. Walk all the way to the opposite of the escalators down to the mini-shuttle that takes you to the Light Trail transit airport station.

I would do this only if you had close to four hours or more between flights. And don%26#39;t dilly-dally

Here%26#39;s the light rail map / link.

We only have one line.

As other said depends on how much time you have. I tend to agree that 4 hours should be the minimum, and even then you%26#39;re not giving yourself much time at whatever sight you want to see (MOA in one direction, perhaps Minnehaha Park in the other, toward downtown). You have to figure out whether you can familiarize yourself with the route to the train station enough so that you are not wasting time looking for it. If 4 hours or less, it might be more worry/stress than it%26#39;s worth./
